One player who is rising on draft boards now that he's healthy and making an impact for Denver University is forward Nick Shore.
Most recently named the Red Baron WCHA Freshman of the Week after he made a nice impact for the Pioneers against conference rival Colorado College over the weekend.
Shore scored twice and was named No. 1 star of the game in Denver's 5-3 victory over the Tigers Saturday night, sparking a come-from-behind effort.
Shore has a five-game point streak going and has started to assert himself as a player that some scouts felt coming into the season would make a run at a late-1st selection.
Older brother Drew, also at DU, is a prospect of the Florida Panthers after being picked in the second round of the '09 draft.
Red Line Report has the 6-0, 192-pound center 79th in their February rankings, but expect Shore to move up if he can keep producing for DU. He now has four goals and 14 points in 19 games this season. Last season, he had six markers, 20 points in 26 games with the U.S. NTDP Under-18 squad.
