Brandon Saad's stock may be down in the hardcore draft circles, but you would never know it by the way he carried himself at the scouting combine.
The power forward started the season hot with the Saginaw Spirit, but then tailed off and appeared to have lost his confidence. Even with the concerns and the fact that others have seized upon good draft years to propel their stock at the expense of his, whichever team lands him will be getting a potential homerun-type pick.
Every year, we see guys who come into the year with a lot of hype, but for whatever reason, fail to meet expectations and drop on draft day. Some of those then get their development back on track and become the draft day "steals" you always hear about. Others simply never get it going and fade into obscurity.
Which one will Saad be?
