B2011DW on Capitals Report podcast- June 8, 2011

Had the pleasure of working with Mike Vogel and Alex Ball of the Washington Capitals today to be the guest on their weekly Capitals Report podcast.

Vogel, or "Vogs" (you can follow him on Twitter @VogsCaps) is a very knowledgeable and passionate hockey guy. Despite the major demands on his time to cover the NHL club, he makes it his business to study the draft and keep up with the team's prospects and future of hockey.

He kindly offered me a chair at the studio in Capitals HQ at the Kettler IcePlex in Arlington, Va. today to co-host the podcast with him, and it was an opportunity that couldn't be refused- 1 hour to just talk NHL draft.

The link to the podcast is here. Remember- it was done with an eye for the Capitals fans who subscribe and listen, but hope any hockey fan will find the topics and discussion worthwhile.

Thanks again to Vogs, Alex and the rest of the guys there on the Capitals media team for setting it up- had a blast!

Next week, he'll have Red Line Report chief scout Kyle Woodlief on the show, so that one will be worth a listen as well

  1. good stuff kirk. What do u think of Cap's prospect Galiev? Also, are u gonna do any live draft coverage(chat, podcast, radio, video)?

  2. I like Galiev's skill and potential for sure. Like his value (where they got him) even better.

I'll be doing live updates on Twitter and posting key picks to the blog w/ video from their post-pick pressers. One-man show, so no plans to do anything beyond that unless you want to volunteer. ;-)
