QMJHL plays of the week: Zack Phillips and Tomas Jurco

The QMJHL posted this a few days ago, but given that the OHL Plays of the Week got some play, here are the Quebec League highlights from last week.

It's mostly the Zack Phillips, Tomas Jurco and Jonathan Huberdeau and the Saint John Sea Dogs show from the perspective of the 2011 NHL Draft, but there's a nice feed from Tomas Filippi- overage Czech forward playing for the Quebec Remparts on one of the goalsto Joe Dube.

Jurco's hat trick goal is a thing of beauty. And notice not only Huberdeau assists on the Phillips goal, but Nathan Beaulieu springs Huberdeau with a nice feed to allow him to get the biscuit to Phillips for the finish.

What I like about Jurco is that he's a killer around the net. With his god-given puck skills and feet, he can do pretty much what he wants, even when he isn't given much time and space to work with. When he's motivated, as he was on that breakaway to turn the trick, he can be even deadlier. Problem is, we don't always get that from him. And, the rest of Jurco's game is a work in progress. But, if you love skilled players who are dynamite with the puck, Jurco's your guy.

Here's the link to the QMJHL highlight vid not quite as slick or dynamic as the OHL, but still pretty fun to watch.
