Major junior 2010-11 kicks off tonight

It's time to put away all the pre-season projections and start looking at where the proverbial rubber meets the road.

The (UPDATE-- the OHL) begins tonight, and with it, a good percentage of the hopes and dreams of the Bruins 2011 Draft Watch. The WHL begins Friday, September 24, and the QMJHL, as pointed out by an astute reader, has been ongoing for a while with four games in the books for the teams.

So, in honor of the new season, here's a little Black Eyed Peas to get you going.

Let's Get It Started

  1. Good start for some Plymouth Whalers, even though they blew a 4-1 lead to defending Champ Windsor. Alex Aleardi with 3 goals and an assist, Gerrett Meurs with 3 assists.

For the Peterborough Pete's, Matt Puempel with a natural hat trick. I was at that game and tonight will be at the Whalers Knights game. Great start to the season !

  2. Nice recap-- Windsor is still loaded even without Hall and Shugg, it would appear.

I take it Big Jack (Campbell) was in net...he may have given up four, but looks like once again, he may have made the big saves when his team needed them the most.
